After training as a professional dancer, I was lucky enough to spend two and a half incredible years living and performing in Tokyo. It was an experience that shaped me in more ways than I could ever have imagined.
While living in Japan, I became fascinated by the way flowers are woven into everyday life. Not only for their beauty, but for the stories, symbolism and meaning they carry. And after embracing life on the other side of the world, I found myself mesmerised by the way flowers are intwined in the culture – and it was here I discovered the beauty of Ume.
One flower in particular stayed with me long after I returned home - The Ume blossom.
Before flowers, my world revolved around dance.
And this is the story behind Ume.

Today, Ume Floral Design combines those two worlds that have shaped me most — creativity and storytelling.
As a former performer, I'm naturally drawn to atmosphere, emotion and the little details that make people feel something. Those influences can be found in every bouquet, every installation and every wedding we create.
It's a privilege to play a small part in life's most meaningful moments, and I look forward to hearing about your plans and how I can be part of your special day.
Blooming before spring has fully arrived, the Ume flower appears when everything still feels cold and grey. A symbol of hope, resilience and new beginnings, it quietly reminds us that brighter days are always ahead.
I realised I had discovered another way to tell stories.
Where dance had always allowed me to express emotion through movement, flowers offered a new creative language. One filled with colour, texture, beauty and connection.
